Therapy for college and graduate students in San Diego, CA

You’ve been working so hard for so many years: SAT/ACT, extracurriculars, leadership roles, high ranking colleges. You have made it! You’ve made others proud of you! You’re in it, you continue to push forward: Student organizations and clubs, internships, GREs, MCAT, LSAT. Expectations are high, and it feels like everybody is watching you. You are exhausted, and wondering why. Long days, sleepless nights. You are anxious, questioning your path. Is this what I want? How long will it last? Though you deliver, you feel down and in doubt. You weigh your goals against the price. You compare yourself to others, and it seems like they have it easier than you, they all have it figured out. You wonder if they can see your struggle. You need help to sort it out.

I can help you with that!

My name is Rina, and I have been helping college and graduate students who struggle with depression and anxiety as well as other concerns. I have worked at a university counseling center for 17 years and have helped hundreds of students find their confidence and purpose as they went through school.  I will help you too! My approach is warm, curious, and down to earth. I am familiar with the ins and outs of higher education and can help you find solutions to challenging situations. I will help you explore your personal goals in the context of what seems to be expected of you. We will work on finding an internal compass to guide your efforts rather than having you react to others’ expectations. I can help with study skills, time management skills, and skills to reduce your anxiety and uplift your mood. I have done this successfully with many many students before you, and I can help you too!
